In Memoria
For my cousin Daryl who died in the flood of New Orleans, as a result of Hurricane Katrina, and the some forty percent of my relatives who were displaced.
For my maternal grandmother, Dolores Murphy, who we laid to rest, next to my maternal grandfather, Edward "Skinny" Murphy, in the Gentilly section of New Orleans, two months before Hurricane Katrina.
To my paternal grandparents, Allen "Son Baby" Clark and Olivia "Boo" Poree, already at rest in New Orleans.
New Orleans, Louisiana, as far back as we know in the United States, is our origin and home.
